Stimuvax®

Overview Stimuvax® is a therapeutic vaccine designed to stimulate an individual's immune system to recognize cancer cells and control the growth and spread of cancers in order to increase the survival of cancer patients. Stimuvax incorporates a 25-amino acid sequence of the cancer-associated marker MUC-1 in a liposomal formulation. The vaccine is thought to work by stimulating a T-cell mediated immune response to cancer cells expressing the target MUC-1.
